Neil William Sampson

Neil William Sampson, age 84, of Wyoming passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1956. Neil married Jeanette Eicher on September 29, 1957 in Greenville, MI. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching sports on TV, reading books, and sitting out in the sun drinking a Dr. Pepper, while watching his birds. Neil worked at Vernors Bottling Company and then Brooks Bottling Company in Holland, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Sampson; his parents; sister, Ruth Ann Sampson. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mark (Joyce) Sampson, Scott Sampson, Dave (Barbara) Sampson; grandchildren, Chad, Jessica (James) Balder, Daniel, Bryan (Megan), Andy, Chelsea (John) Russell, Courtney (Zach) Finlayson, McKenna; 11 great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Sampson, Robert (Sally) Sampson, Earl Sampson, Dorothy Sampson, Sylvia (Rob) Coffey, Lynn (Janis) Sampson; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, April 30 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Burial at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 6-9 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Faith Hospice and to Mary Lou of Grand Rapids Care Givers. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
