I served with Nate on the Ike. He was a great Shipmate and friend. It has been a while since we talked, and that is something I will always miss. I send my deepest and most sincere condolences.

As a driver for Try Hours, I recall a long, back-to-back and overnight delivery to Virginia I had made, where Nate called me the next morning asking how the trip had gone and how I was doing. That was Nate. He made me feel that I was more than just a driver to him and he was certainly more than a dispatcher to me. His kindness and generosity will always be remembered and he will be very much missed. My sincere sympathies to Andee, her daughters and his family.
