Nancy Van Tongeren

Nancy Lou Van Tongeren, age 83, of Byron Center, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 31, 2020, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Laurie Van Tongeren, Karen and Gale Mast, Deb and Scott Kooistra; seven grandchildren: Matt Mast and special friend, Leigh, Tyler Mast, Lindsey and Mike  Davis, Eric and Heather Kooistra, Troy and Lauren Kooistra, Jake Kooistra, Kelsey Kooistra; great grandson, Cody; brother, John and Shirley Nyquist; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marian Van Tongeren, Louise Van Tongeren, Larry and Carla Van Tongeren, Rhea Zandee, Phil and Marilyn Pikaart; many nieces and nephews and friends. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 5-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Private family services will be held. Burial Kent Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the following organizations which Nancy had a heart for:  the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Kids Hope USA.
