Nancy Lambert

Nancy Lambert was born in Wytheville, VA on February 23, 1934. She passed away one month shy of her 82nd birthday on January 23, 2016. She was the youngest of 5 children.  Nancy married the love of her life, Roy S. Lambert Jr., on August 21, 1953 and God blessed them with 63 years together. After their marriage, they left the mountains of Virginia and moved to Grand Rapids, MI. There they had three daughters:  Carolyn Emery (Rick), Lynn Roach (Duane), and Robin Lambert.  From there came seven amazing grandkids:  Kate (Dan), Genny (Shane), Eric, Katina (Rob), Daniel (Marie), Adam (Sarah), and Tyler (Jordan), followed by 13 wonderful great grandkids:  Carlee, Lucas, Elise, Raegen, Victor, Natalee, Will, Kadence, Brayden, Caleb, Hunter, Madison, and Jenna. She still has one living sister, Ann who lives in Virginia, as well as, 2 sisters-in-law: Gert and Cat; two living brother and sisters-in-law, Chris and Margie. Her family also included many nieces and nephews, both in Virginia and in Michigan. She loved her husband, her daughters, grand kids, great grandkids and all her family so very much.  She loved God and showed it to others by her giving, selflessness, and self sacrificing spirit.   God knew the number of days she was to be with us and then he knew he needed her in heaven so he called her home. She passed into glory unexpectedly and peacefully, surrounded by her family.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 1 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (corner of Avery and Scott St.) 6651 Scott St., Allendale, MI with Rev. Vic Wilson officiating. Interment Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 12-1 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
