Nancy Jean Cavner

Nancy Jean Cavner, age 87, of Hudsonville, peacefully went to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, March 11, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Lillian Hovinga; son, Tim Cavner, sister, Virginia Marshall.  Nancy was a graduate of South High School in Grand Rapids. She was employed at General Motors and then at Butterworth Hospital as an EKG technician. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Richard; daughters, Mary Hallas Brandow, Bonnie Hallas; grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) Brandow, Robyn (Dwayne) Porter, Jared (Martin Belssinger) Brandow, Charlene (Darrell) Cobb; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; two very special sisters, Donna Briel, Betty Amshey; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Scruffy.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home, as well as Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
