Remembering Nancy G. Hallwachs

Hallwachs, Nancy G. HALLWACHS: Nancy G. Hallwachs (Hoekstra), age 76, of Jenison, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2011. She was preceded in death by her son, Kristofer Jon, and her brother, Daniel Hoekstra. She was a loving wife and mother, and will be dearly missed by her husband, Richard; her son, Scott (Ginger) Hallwachs; grandchildren, Corey Hallwachs, Megan and Kyle Butler, Joshua Hallwachs, Mederise and Gary Miller, Noella Hallwachs, Alex Hallwachs; great grandchildren; brother, Fred (Janie) Hoekstra; sister-in-law Nancy Hoekstra. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr., with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan or Critical Care Unit at Spectrum Health. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.

Over the years we felt as if we knew Nancy and her family even though what we shared was really considered a business relationship. Dear Scott and Family, I am so very sorry on the devastating loss of both your mother and brother Kris and the injury to your father. Your mother was a wonderful and kind person who I enjoyed seeing when we were kids. Your brother, only a kid himself when I last saw him, now has children to whom I send all of my sympathies for their tragic loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all as you struggle with this loss, particularly during the Christmas season, and my thoughts and prayers are also with your father as he heals and grieves simultaneously.
