Nancy Freeman

Nancy Jean Freeman, age 85, of Jenison, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 16, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Freeman; son, Jeffrey Freeman; brother, Harold Vander Zouwen; sisters, Doris Vander Ploeg, Lavonne (Ike) Elenbaas, Shirley (Odis) Stratton, Betty (Carl) Galar; brothers-in-law, Frank Nienhuis, Bob (Phyllis) Freeman; and sisters-in-law, Geneva Hill, and Joan Freeman.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kevin and Amy Freeman, Kurt and Lisa Freeman, Karen and Joel Hanenburg, Dawn Freeman; grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel and Derek, Aaron and Nikki, Brice and Kella, Austin and Amber, Conrad and Devan, Luke, Seth and Jennifer, Ashley, and Laurissa and Josh; great-grandchildren, Colten and Emma Jean; siblings, Kay Vander Zouwen, John Vander Ploeg, Audrey Nienhuis, Don and Sheryl Vander Zouwen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Kathy Nibbelink, Pat and Jerry Killough, Dick Freeman; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Nancy was a great homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.  She was very active and involved at Grandville Baptist Church, especially in children and youth activities. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Justin Guess officiating. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on the funeral home website by clicking on ‘watch recorded services here.”  The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from noon-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the  AWANA children's program at Grandville Baptist Church.
