Nancy Ann Ross

Nancy Ann Ross, age 63, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2020. Nancy had been a nurse at Metro Health Hospital for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Orwin Sjaarda; and a brother, Michael Sjaarda. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ryan and Ashley Ross; grandchildren, Isaiah, Milo, and Isla; her mother, Florence Sjaarda; brother, Tom and Chris Sjaarda; sister, Sally and Rob Holyfield; nieces and nephews, Michael, Caitlin and Michael, Mary, Daniel, Hope, Paul, Daniel, and Jessica. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Democratic National Committee.

You will be dearly missed Nancy, you were such a kind and patient nurse and a strong patient advocate. You made us all laugh and took us new nurses under your wing and helped us fly. Heaven gained a beautiful soul.

Nance, words can't express how heartbroken I am over your passing. I'll always look back on how thoughtful and caring you were. Ryan and I will go see Hamilton in February in your honor, I wish you could have gone with me, thank you so much for the tickets. I'll always remember you bringing over my favorite fruit every time I saw you and all the special things you picked up for the kids. I so wish you could be here still to watch them grow but I promise we will keep your memory alive always with stories and pictures of you. I'll take care of Ryan forever and will help him through this tragic time. I love you, I'm so thankful that you are my mother in law. I hope you're somewhere beautiful with your dad and brother right now.
