Myrtes Duffield

Myrtes (Holcomb) Duffield, age 101, of Howard City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021. Myrtes was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and great-great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee, reading books, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Duffield, her parents, and her siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Roger (Carol) Duffield; daughter-in-law, Pat Duffield; grandchildren, Bill Duffield, Marnice (Joe) Brechting, Dale (Nancy) Duffield, Dianne (Gary) Janes, Judy (Donald) Jones, and Jerri Lynn (Danny) Vasquez; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Jeff Vander Heide officiating. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
