Mrs.  Mary Heminger

HEMINGER - Mrs. Mary Jo Heminger, aged 73, of Belmont, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 31, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marian and Melvin Collins of Grand Rapids, MI. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 44 years, Raymond Heminger, their children, Rick (Rochelle) Heminger, Laurie (Steve) Terranova, Rebecca (Andy) Carpenter and Phil (Carissa) Heminger; grandchildren, James & Stacey (Heminger) Fues, Bryan & Vicki (Heminger) Lundberg, Robert Wills, Randy & Whitney Wills, Abby Wills, Jake Wills, Justin Terranova, Ryan, Madison & Claire Carpenter, Camden & Baylee Heminger; and one great grandson, Carter Lundberg. Mary Jo enjoyed spending time with her family, cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers and listening to Gospel music. She had a deep love and affection for her kids and grandchildren (and great grandson) and enjoyed watching them grow up. Her career at Spectrum Health spanned more than 30 years where she cared for cardiology patients and managed a team of EKG technicians. Although the family will miss her most of all, so will her beloved pets Wilbur & Wally. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont MI 49306. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm before the service at the funeral home.
