KOOIKER - Mrs. Joan W. Kooiker aged 81 passed away, Tuesday, November 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; brothers, John Herr, William Herr; sisters, Dorothy Gulch, Beverly Umloft. Surviving are her children, Peggy (Art) Birdsley, Melvin (Mary) Kooiker, Sally (Richard) Johnson; grandchildren, Jill (Travis) Timmer, Julie (Mike) Obbink, David, Kristy and Amy Kooiker, Victoria and Kevin (Emily) Johnson; great grandchildren, Jaden and Aiva Timmer, Brynne and Jaxson Obbink; sisters-in-law, Gladys Kooinga, Evelyn (Tom) Groelsma; brother-in-law, Arnold Toering; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Messiah Christian Reformed Church, 2900 Springdale St., Hudsonville. Her family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday from 6 to 8PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Church.
