She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon Kooima; son, Daniel Kooima; brother, Opie TerMeer; sister, Bert Roos and Grandson Makoto Kooima. Surviving are her son, Gregory Kooima and wife Yumiko Kooima; daughter-in-law, Laura Kooima; Grandchildren, Daniel Kooima and wife Janna and Dr. Cynthia Kooima.
