Mrs.  Betty VanDyke

Betty (Fyfe) VanDyke, age 56 of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday evening, April 15, 2014. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 36 years, Charlie VanDyke; her sister, Susan (David) Schildhouse; their children, Michael (Melissa) Schildhouse; Zach & Chase; Mark Schildhouse, Jeffrey (Tricia) Schildhouse, Kathy (Hector) Leal, Aaron & Shannon and her sister, Cynthia Hesburn; her children, Kari (Roger) Bucher, Caleb, Ben, Rachel & Bo, Kelly (Aaron) Canto, Samantha & Jackson. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Kathleen Fyfe and brother in law, Gary Hesburn. Betty was a member at Resurrection Life Church where she was involved as a prayer partner leader, Bible study leader and in Altar Ministry. She was also a member of Rockford American Business Women's Association and was employed by Measurement Inc. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont. Her family will greet relatives and friends from 1 to 3 pm & 6 to 8 pm on Friday at the funeral chapel. A luncheon will follow at Plainfield Christian Church, 7255 Pine Island Dr., Comstock Park.
