Mrs.  Anne Piippo

PIIPPO - Mrs. Anne Piippo aged 79, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lyn A. Applebee; parents, Gordon and Louise Angus; sister, Lynn Carter. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Carl; daughter, Laura Piippo M.D.; son-in-law, Michael Applebee; grandchildren, Courtney (John) Czernel, Benjamin and Katelyn Applebee; great grandson, John. Anne was born and raised in Amble, England. She trained to be a nurse and midwife in Alnwick and London, England. She continued her nurses training in Ontario, Canada. While in Canada, she met her future husband to whom she was married 54 years. Anne was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a woman with a strong faith in God, with a longtime active membership at Faith Lutheran Church in Sault St. Marie, MI.
