Mr.  Vito Vallone

VALLONE - Mr. Vito Vallone aged 90 of Wyoming, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016. Vito was born on December 1, 1925 in Alcamo, Sicily to Geatano and Maria Vallone. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Lupo; father, Gaetano Vallone; mother, Maria Bongiovanni; brother, Giuseppe Vallone; sister, Anna Vallone; nephew, Dino Messana. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Angela Vallone; children, Gaetano (LeeAnn), Maria (Frank) Albanese, Lena (Giovanni) Polizzi, Paola (Chip) Bigelow; grandchildren, Vito (Jennifer) and Leo (Brandi) Vallone, Ignazio (Erin) Albanese, Vito (Brenda) Albanase, Norina (Christopher) Cadili, Frank (Michelle) Albanese, Giuseppe (Mariella) Polizzi, Katia (Giuseppe) Pollizi, Gina and Angela Artale; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Gina Vallone Messana; brother, Nino (Ninetta) Vallone; sisters-in-law, Rosa Vallone, Gida (Carmello) Messana; many nieces and nephews. Vito retired from Kelvinator and Beatrice Foods. He was currently owner of Grand Rapids Cheese which he founded in 1963. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00AM Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 101 Hall St. SE., with Rev. Julian Reginato as celebrant. His family will greet relatives and friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM Wednesday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., and one hour prior to Mass on Thursday at Church. Prayers of the Rosary recited Wednesday at 7:30PM at the funeral chapel. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
