Mr.  Robert Graham

Robert Ellwood Graham, age 86, of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on September 12, 2014. He was born to Robert & Stella Graham on October 25, 1927 in Highland park, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Steinfort. He is survived by his brother in law, Lloyd Steinfort and nieces and nephews. Robert was a graduate of Central High and Michigan State University with a Masters Degree. He was a 25 year member of Saint Cecilia Society and instrumental in the starting of Guarneri House. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid musician, playing the cello since 10 years old. He was amember of Grand Rapids symphony since age 14. He performed with Cincinnati, Lansing, Battle Creek, Muskegon, National Orchestras and Naval Band. He also did several tours cross country with the National Ballet. Mr. Graham was also a music instructor at Olivet College and Grand Valley State University. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Covenant Village Chapel.
