Mr.  Peter Slabbekoorn

SLABBEKOORN - Mr. Peter R. Slabbekoorn, aged 78 of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord, Monday, March 31, 2014. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Slabbekoorn. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Arlene Marie Slabbekoorn; children, Richard (Chris) Slabbekoorn, Cory (Carl) DeLoach, Karen (Bill) Long, Ken (Nancy) Slabbekoorn; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Robert (Diane) Slabbekoorn; sister-in-law, Bonnie Slabbekoorn. Peter was known for his love of God and his family, he was an active member of Home Acres Reformed Church where he served in many ways. He retired from Gordon Mfg. after many years of service. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at Home Acres Reformed Church, 21 Murray SE with Rev. Darrell Dalman officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. and from 10;00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at church.
