Mr.  David Holmberg

Holmberg - Mr. David Carl Holmberg aged 73 of Newaygo, formerly of Comstock Park, went to be with his Lord Monday, March 10, 2014. Dave will be remembered for his love of family, and activities that centered on them at the lake including boating, fishing and even photography. With his woodworking skills he has crafted many family treasures. Dave retired from Pridgeon and Clay in Grand Rapids after 30 years of employment. He is survived by his wife Yvonne (Wisniewski) of 46 years; children, Devon Karl, Dajna Marie Lillibridge, Dirk Edward, Dielle MaeJean and Dwayn Arthur; grandchildren, Kurtis, Brandon and Lauren Lillibridge, and their father Todd; Riley and Hailey Holmberg and their mother Nichole; sister, Carole Jean VandenBerg; mother-in-law, Bette Baker; sisters-in law, Christine (Darryl) Carlson, Stephanie (Jerry) Thompson, Linda (James) Kumler, Lisa (Gary) Bigelow, Susan (Gary) Bush, Kim (Patrick) Gill, Georgene (Mark) Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1200 Alpine Church Rd. NW, Comstock Park, with Rev. Thomas G. Simons, Rev. Daniel R. DePew, and Rev. Thomas A. McKinney as concelebrants. David's family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont, preceded by the Rosary at 5:30 PM led by his wife. Memorial contributions in his memory to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society would be deeply appreciated. (Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and Church.)
