Mildred Marvin

Mildred Marvin, age 96, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Cadillac, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her daughter, Rilla Leeper; and her brother, George Rand. Mildred actively served her Lord and her church at Northwest Gospel Hall for many years, giving in many ways with her time and talents. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Betty and Ed Powell, Shirley and Howard Long, Mabel and Walter Clarkson, Inez Bradfield, David and Grace Marvin, Devere and Gayle Marvin, Charles and Elaine Marvin; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Czajkowski; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 11:30 a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with her son, Pastor David Marvin officiating.  Interment Washington Park Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
