Michelle Hubbard

After a tiring battle with dementia, Michelle A. (Alpher) Hubbard, known to her friends and family as Shellee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 while surrounded by family at Blodgett hospital. Shellee was born on May 18, 1946, the daughter of Elizabeth Davenport and Morris Alpher. She married Rodney Hubbard on September 11th, 1965. Shellee graduated from Ottawa High School in 1964 and in recent years enjoyed reunions at Yesterdog. Shellee thrived on travelling the world and sharing her experiences with family and friends. As a true American girl she bled red, white and blue, loving rock n roll and classic cars. Whenever she was home she enjoyed watching movies or reading books. Shellee genuinely cared for others which was evident by the countless number of relationships that she created in her job as a nurse and volunteering for March of Dimes. Above all, her greatest love was the time she spent with family. Her two sons, Kevin (Shannan) and Scott (Denice), and her six grandchildren, Lucas, Jacob, Kate, Olivia, Carly, and Jude, and her brother David (Vikki) will always hold her in their hearts and be forever grateful for the unbreakable bond of family that she established. Her value of family was so radiant that anyone she met would see it. Although we mourn her passing, we rejoice in knowing she is finally able to join her parents, her brother, Dale, her husband, Rod, and her niece, Kristin.
