Michael Joseph Lechtanski

Michael (Lucky) Joseph Lechtanski, born March 1, 1953, passed peacefully on June 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lechtanski Sr., Ruth (Skip) nee Zemaitis and Richard Husted, and brother in law David Favreau. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Walt Lechtanski Jr., Terri (Bob) Szotko, Ron Lechtanski, Joni Jones and Scott Smigiel, Annette (Toni) Favreau and Tim Hern. Nieces and nephews Bob (Gretchen) Szotko and family, Keri Smith and Denny Langlois and family, Katie Szotko and family, Zachary Szotko. Special nephew Luke Smith. The family is also grateful for Mike's lifelong friends, John Skryski, and Tim Gustinis who were always there for him. Mike enjoyed membership at local Polish and Lithuanian clubs, and the S.A.L. He was a great bowler and ball player, and a mediocre golfer (no matter what he told you...). He loved to watch his Lions, Tigers, Wolverines, and Nascar. Upon his passing, Michael made an anatomical gift of sight to someone in need.

As in life, Mike was close to his brother Ron. With their passing so close together, a celebration of life will be held for both Mike and Ron at Sons and Daughters Lithuanian Hall on Saturday, October 26th from 2-6 pm.
