Michael Guy deGarmeaux
DEGARMEAUX, Michael Guy deGarmeaux, age 63, of Caledonia, went to be with his Savior and loved ones in heaven on Sunday, March 20, 2016. He will be forever cherished by his son, Jason DeGarmo; daughter, Amanda (DeGarmo) Hampton and son, Matthew DeGarmo; grandchildren, Mallory and Jake Hampton; the mother of his children, Karen DeGarmo; his mother, Matilda DeGarmo and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Grandpa Beard will lovingly be remembered for his ability to make people laugh, (especially his two loves, Mallory and Jake) his passion for friendships, history and playing/singing music. He never knew a stranger and touched many lives with his kindness. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main Street, Caledonia, MI 49316.

Our thoughts are with you and your family during this sorrowful time. The death of a loved one is so devastating and not always easy to get through alone. Uncle Mike, you have left us all with so many memories! If I learned anything from you it would be to love life. You made family gatherings so much fun with your love of music. I never memorized the words to "Grandmas Feather Bed" but loved listening to you play it with your sisters singing right next to you. My dear brother Mike:
You brought life to the party. Your love and joy for life was infectious! The love you had for your family came bursting from deep within your heart. You lit up the room when you spoke of Mallory and Jake. Always sharing pictures and stories.
Now you reside in peace, with your Heavenly Father. I will miss our many conversations about the Lord. You had such passion for life. And now you are at rest, you are whole, and you are free!
I look forward to the day that we will be together again. I will miss you terribly, but our hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus' Love and Righteous.
