Michael Gordon

Michael A.Gordon, age 51, of Allendale, was called to his heavenly home surrounded by his family on Monday, October 19, 2020. Michael was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa who treasured every moment with his family. He had a huge heart who always put others before himself. Michael worked in the Fire Protection industry for 32 years, establishing many friendships and became known as the “go to guy” for whatever was needed. He was blessed with the gift of technology and music. Michael used these talents to serve many local churches with his knowledge of sound and technology. Above all, his humble personality and unconditional love for his family was evident to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father in law, Douglas Wedekind; and his grandparents. He will be remembered by his loving wife, Carey Gordon; children: Lauren Gordon (Mike Hansen), Morgan Beard (Nate), Gabriel Gordon, Karlie (Jeffery McDonald) Gordon, Evelyn Gordon, Brent Miller, Jordan Miller, Alisha Miller; grandchildren, Amelia and Clara Beard; parents, Mark and Patty Gordon, Vicky and Phil Graham; siblings,: James Gordon, Amy Hoek (Scott), George Graham (Shannon), Joel Graham, Mandy Thomas (Aaron), Josh Graham (Marissa), Robyn Schopp (Jason), Zachary Graham; mother in law: Sue Wedekind; brothers and sisters in laws, Kathy VanDorp (Jim), Jennie Gipson (Jay), Jim Wedekind; grandfather: Isaac Kuiper; many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends, and his beloved dogs Jake and Summer. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11 am at Fairhaven Church, 2900 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, with Rev. Dan Naulty officiating. Burial at Georgetown Twp. Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 6651 Scott St., Allendale.
