Michael Leroy Crowley, age 73, of Walker, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Mike enjoyed nature, especially hunting, fishing, and traveling with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Hazel Crowley; and parents-in-law, Frank and Lucille Rosekopf. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Shelly Crowley; children, Michele and Tony Baker, Michael Crowley and Dan Greiner; step-grandchild, Carson Baker; sister and brother, Chris and Marc Huizinga, Don and Renell Crowley; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joan and Denny Duimstra, Carl and Deb Rosekopf; his aunt, Betty Crowley; several cousins, nieces and nephews. A man of few words, Mike will be missed greatly by his family and friends. His presence will live on through the example that he set in his own life. A private family gathering will be held later this spring. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the ALS Association.

So many of us are now in our "golden years" - hard to believe ! - and more and more we all reflect back on the 'good ol' days'. The Crowley family was a part of our wonderful grade school - "Fairview" family - that held us all close together - sadly nothing like today. . . . "Mickey", as we knew him, was respectful, quiet and thoughtful and I am sure he grew into a wonderful man who treasured his wife and family and instilled in them his values and deep faith. I know my late brother, Dan Bozek, enjoyed fishing and hunting rabbits with Mickey and just hanging out. People come and go in our lives - whether growing up with them - or just meeting them for a moment but they can leave an impact on us and we are forever changed. I am sure 'Mickey" touched many lives through his kindness - and for that we are forever grateful. . . . . . May our Lord guide you in the days ahead and bring you peace.
