Michael Arends

Michael J. Arends, age 77, of Allendale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 22, 2022. He was preceded in death by his brother, William Arends; sisters, Anna Mae Woodard, and Mary Jane Pearcy. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Carol Arends; children, Brian and Carol Arends, Michelle DeLynne Arends, Angela and Ken Wise; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald and Pamela Arends, Steven and Katherine Arends, Daniel and Lynne Arends; sister-in-law, Nancy Arends; brothers-in-law, Howard Woodard, and Timothy Pearcy; many nieces and nephews. Michael was a good and faithful servant. A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Spring Valley Church, 5947 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale, with Rev. Rob Wondergem and Rev. Randy Weiner officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, January 27, from 6-8 p.m. at the church and Friday from 11-11:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hand2Hand at Spring Valley Church.
