Melody Ann Gorton

Melody Ann Gorton, age 64, of Ravenna, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2016, and went to be with the Lord. She loved Jesus above all, had a golden servant’s heart, and was a totally devoted wife and mother. Melody enjoyed the beauty of flowers and baking for her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, Charles Gorton; her son, Samuel Gorton; stepsons, Bill Gorton and Richard Gorton; grandchildren; mother, Marie Elmblad; brothers and sisters, Priscilla Friend, David Elmblad, Kyle Elmblad, Mary Elmblad; sisters-in-law, Charlene Elmblad and Carol Gorton; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11 AM at Christian Fellowship Assembly, 9930 64th Ave, Allendale, with Dr. Ronald Hirdes officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Monday from 10:00-10:45 AM prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Semper Fi Fund.
