Melodie (Tate) Baas

Melodie Christine Baas (Tate), age 31, of Allendale, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 29, 2015 and is now home with her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Tate. Melodie was a kind and loving wife, mom, daughter, sister and aunt that had a huge heart to all who knew her. She treasured her family and never let a moment go by without saying “I love you”. She graduated from Grandville High School in 2002. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Andy Baas; children, Annabelle and Braden; mother, Karen McKinney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Gail Baas; sister, Denise and Gerry Stelma; brother, Adam Tate and fiancé Cherri Chatman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lisa and Bob Tenharkel, Holly and Rob Milanowski, Jason and Brittany Baas, Michael and Cassie Baas, Amanda Baas; loving grandparents; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015 11 am at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale with Rev. Josh Thurkettle officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 5-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
