Maxine Kay Vandenbos, age 82, of Grandville went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jill and Bo Oosterman, Karrie and Dan Bussa, Craig and Jayne Vandenbos, Lisa and Rick Heyboer; grandchildren, Amy Oosterman, Eric and Erika Oosterman, Matt and Melissa Bussa, Jayson and Ali Bussa, Megan and Jason Howard, Michelle and Andrew Kersjes, Sarah, Sydney and Stacie Vandenbos, Ashley and Jacob Heyboer; 14 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marlyn Woudenberg, Marcia Kunst; brother-in-law, Clyde Morren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2018, at South Grandville Christian Reformed Church, 4130 Wilson Avenue SW, with Dr. Daniel Mouw officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, August 5, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Grandville Christian School.

I was so sad to hear of Maxine's passing. She was such a sweet sweet lady. She had a wonderful sense of humor and just a very caring person. My heart goes out to all her family as they were so supportive. We will miss you Maxine. I am so glad I paid you a visit at Rose Garden. Love your friend , Rose
