Maureen Marjorie Fingleton

Maureen M. Fingleton, age 87, of Byron Center passed away peacefully on Monday, August 30, 2021. Maureen was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother who dearly loved her family. She was blessed with an adventurous spirit and was always up for a challenge. Maureen was involved in many activities over the years including roller skating, (where she met her husband, Ken!), riding horses, modeling, and had a huge love of animals. She retired after 35 years of dedicated service as an assistant manager at AT&T. Above all, her desire to care for her family and others was evident to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jessie Brazeau. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Ken; her children, Steven and Michele Pierson, Luann and Bill Demm; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Dr. Donald Fingleton of New Mexico. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 1 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, September 7 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Due to the increased risk of Covid, the family requests that guests please wear masks.
