Maureen Louise Arents

​Maureen Arents, 90, of Wyoming, MI, died February 20, 2024. Born Maureen Louise Carroll to William and Cleo Carroll, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Arents; daughter, Patti; sons-in-law: Ken Ewing and John Clark. She will be lovingly remembered as an amazing mom and a woman of great strength by her children: Kathy and Todd Genschoreck, Mike and Ruth Arents, John Arents, Maureen and Scott Kaczanowski, Mary Ewing Clark; sister, Virginia Fish. She will be fondly remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maureen, a world-class crocheter, grew up on the west side of Grand Rapids and attended Mount Mercy Academy. For seven decades, she was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Wyoming. Maureen worked at St. John Vianney Church for many years. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1048 Chicago Drive SW, Wyoming, MI, with Rev. Charlie Brown presiding. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4:30-6:30 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming. Visitation will also be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Friday, at the church, one hour prior to service.
