Matthew Beintema

Matthew Henry Beintema, age 31, of Walker, passed away in a tragic car accident while traveling to be with his family on vacation, Monday, July 13, 2020. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Mae Vander Male; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Terrell and Jennie Vroonland. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 5 years, Sarah Beintema; parents, Peter D. and Martha J. Beintema; brothers and their children, Peter and Hannah Beintema (Christian, Phoebe, Collins Thea), Carl and Ashleigh Beintema (Noella, Vivienne Mae), Jacob and Jennelle Beintema (Quinton Jacob); grandparents, Pieter and Tettje Beintema, Takami Vroonland; sister-in-law, Rachel Vroonland; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Matthew was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed anything outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family. Matthew was a two-time kidney transplant survivor and his motto was, “Never give up in life!”  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020, at 1 p.m. at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave., Hudsonville, with Pastor Jeremy Visser officiating.  The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
