Huizen, Marylynn Marylynn E. Huizen, age 90, of Grandville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2015. She was a longtime member of Eighth Reformed Church and served as the librarian for many years. Most recently she attended Grace Reformed Church. She was always full of energy and was still dancing with the Senior Steppers until the age of 87. The last few years though, her mind and spirit began to cloud with dementia. We as a family are happy that her mind and spirit are now clear and she has rejoined her beloved Roger who preceded her in death in 2000. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Susan and Jerry Vander Wal, Mark and Caryn Huizen, David and Susan Huizen; grandchildren, Alisyn Vander Wal, Tripp and Katie Vander Wal, Richard and Consuela Huizen, Erin and Kelly Donaldson, David and Laura Slocum, Katie and Anthony Vitali, Margaret and James Becker, Andrew Huizen; nine great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Eggleston; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Rick Oppenhuizen officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice. The family would like to thank Oakcrest-Sandlewood for all their love and care.
