Maryellin Prus, age 81, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Maryellin was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed nature, camping, cooking, and deeply cherished her family. Maryellin was a devoted nurse and loved serving her patients and sharing her faith with them. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Marvin May, Dale May, Rita Miller, Alice Howard, Theresa May. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Ken; children, Daniel and Missy Hooper, Mark and Barb Prus, Scott and Christine Hooper, Susan and Mike Rage, Dan and Barb Prus, Mary and Rodney Current; grandchildren, Ian, Jacob, Seth, Collin, Nolan, Shauna, Sophie, Jessica, Matthew, Makaylee, Makenna, and Nathaniel; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy and John Doyle, Elouise and Mike Kuncaitis, Toni VanWyck, David and Vickie May, and Michael May. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr., Belmont with family friend Chris Moon officiating. Burial at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
