Remembering Maryann Patricia Keil

Maryann Patricia Keil, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

Maryann's faith was the foundation of her life. She loved Jesus, her church, and spending time in prayer for the people she cared about. She found joy in God's creation and especially loved the beach, nature, and butterflies, which often reminded her of God's beauty and promises.

Family was Maryann's heart. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother and took great pride in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her love was steadfast and practical, shown not only in what she said, but in what she did. Through the countless ways she cared for her family, both big and small, she created a legacy of love that will continue for generations.

Maryann had a creative spirit and enjoyed crafts, oil painting, and finding ways to create beauty around her. She was known for her loving heart, but those who knew her best also knew she could be feisty and determined, especially when she knew what she wanted. She brought energy, conviction, and perseverance to life in a way that made her uniquely herself.

Maryann also believed in putting her best foot forward. Whether running errands, visiting family, or heading to church, she liked to leave the house looking nice, smelling good, and always hydrated with a bottle of water in hand. These simple habits became part of the many memories her family will forever cherish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand and Margaret Meunier; and her sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Leroy Neyenhuis.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Donald Keil; her children, Stacie and David Gregory, Brian and Donna Keil, Tamara Keil, Kevin and Heather Keil, and Anna Maria Keil; her six grandchildren, Cassidy Gregory, Braydon Gregory, Daniel Ebel, Hunter Ebel, Owen Keil, and Elijah Keil; her brother, Richard and Donna Meunier; her sister, Elizabeth and Joe Park; along with many extended family members and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, with a pre-service visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier officiating. Burial will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 8:00 p.m., at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Right to Life. Condolences may be sent online through the funeral home's website.

"Well done, good and faithful servant."
Matthew 25:23

Mary Ann was one of the 19 cousins my maternal grandparents had. She was always talked about by my mom because she was her flower girl at her wedding. We kept in touch for a while but like all good things that ended a few years ago. My condolences to Don and her family.

Dear family and friends of Maryann Patricia Keil, My family and I knew Maryann for many years first meeting her and Don at St. Vianney Parish. She aways had a beautiful perpetual smile which showed her love of God and neighbor. It seemed you could see her soul in her eyes. I often prayed the Most Holy Rosary with her after Mass. Then over a year ago, I became a resident at St.Anne’s Home and she also was a resident there and she and Don and I attended Holy Mass daily in the Chapel here. She never missed Mass. Don and I led the Most Holy Rosary daily and she was aways there by her side. Eternal Rest grant on to her O Lord and let Your Perpertual Light shine upon her. God’s Love and mine forever and a day, Raymond Leo Skiba
