Mary Veronica Mikaya

Mary Veronica Mikaya, age 79, of Wyoming went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Kalonga; sons, David, and George Mikaya; sisters, Monica, and Joanna. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Rev. Henry Mikaya; children, Peter, Paul, Annie, Henry Jr. and Charmaine, Charity and Evaristo; grandchildren, Miriam, Thokozani, Miriam, Chipiliro, Bianca, Breana, Selena, Bilal, Sophia, Sierra, Mark, Ariana, Piola; great grandchildren, Scarlet, and Idrees. Mary enjoyed nature and gardening. She was always taking care of others before herself. She loved her career as a nurse helping others, but her greatest joy was being with her family. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 5333 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming 49509 with Rev. Zachariah Charles presiding.  Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, January 10 from 4-7 pm at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, and from 10:00-10:45 am prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
