Mary Lou Reinke

Mary Lou Reinke, age 92, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Mary Lou was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family. Over the years, she worked at various places including Dun & Bradstreet, Northview Schools, and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Donald, and her 3 brothers. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dan (Connie) Reinke, Carol (Paul) Jensen, Sue (Dave) Wright; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews. Aunt Mary Lou was my God-Mother (Uncle Don my God-Father). She, and Uncle Don, were such special people to my grandfather (Ed), my dad (Wayne), and to myself (Thom), and not to mention, the rest of my family (mother-Cheryl and brother-Brian). Aunt Mary Lou had such a tender, sweet heart and a nurturing spirit. I loved hearing about all the family stories of when she and Uncle Don were younger. Aunt Mary Lou and Uncle Don were basic people with modest needs, but they were both so rich in love and wisdom. Aunt Mary Lou (and Uncle Don) will certainly be cherished and missed for the rest of my life. May God's rest and peace blanket their spirits.
