ELZINGA, MARY LOU

Mary Lou Elzinga (Zoerhoff), of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Ann Zoerhoff and her son, Scott Elzinga. She is survived by her dear husband of 59 years, Alvin “Tiny” Elzinga; son, Steve Elzinga; daughter, Shelley Weller; grandchildren, Allison (Tim) Schuchardt, John (Annie) Weller, Scott (Shelby) Weller; three great grandchildren; and brother, Herb (Carolee) Zoerhoff. Mary Lou worked at Russ’ Restaurant, as a hostess, for 25 years. She loved people, as they loved her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11 AM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Thomas Bos officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.

Dear Al, Herb, and families, Peace.
I knew and enjoyed the Zoerhoff family since I was a young boy. Mary Lou was so gracious and pleasant to us wherever we met. May the "God of all comfort ... grant you patient endurance" (2Cor1).
