Remembering Mary Lorraine Blair

It is with sadness that the family of Mary Lorraine Blair, announce her sudden passing away on May 17, 2025 of natural causes in Wyoming, MI, at the age of  71. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Sophie Hindenach. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Joseph (Heather) Blair, Thomas Blair; grandchildren, Makenzie, Carter, Austin; siblings, Mike (Luanne) Hindenach, Linda (Edward) Milanowski, William (Kerri) Hindenach, Julie (Jim) Honeycutt; and several nieces and nephews. Mary spent most of her life in Wyoming, attending St. John Vianney School, Catholic Central, and Godwin Heights. Mary loved expressing her unique personality, whether wearing her favorite color (pink), choice of hair styles or the interesting ways to phrase questions or points of view. Mary had a deep love for cats (especially Sammi) and any other pets in general. Always a tender heart for children, family and friends. She enjoyed sharing her various knitting projects with others, passing many out to the residents at the care facilities where she resided. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 1-2 pm at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to Mary Free Bed Foundation - recreational animal therapy.

Though we weren’t especially close, I always admired Mary’s bold spirit and the fierce love she had for her family and pets. She was truly one of a kind—strong-willed, vibrant, and unapologetically herself. Her love of pink and her unshakable opinions made her unforgettable. The Bomberger, Ensign, Arini, and Shields families are holding the family in our thoughts during this time. Wishing peace and comfort to those who loved her most. She will be remembered.

Momma Mary was a amazing woman! She helped keep me out of trouble when I was a naughty little kid, if it wasn't for her and her guidance I would of turned out a total different person. I will miss her loving the pictures of my children & her comments on Facebook. She is at home with Jesus Christ right now. I will miss her stren call of my name & most of all I'll miss her laugh.

So sorry for your loss I will always remember being over on weekends and playing table games. Prayers for all
