Mary Lee Frizzell

Mary L. Frizzell, age 86, of Grand Rapids, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, April 29, 2021. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Mattson and her parents, Arthur Lloyd and Violet Jean Colegrove. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 67 years, William Frizzell; children, Lynn Frizzell, Carol (Ron) Hillis, William K. Frizzell, Cheryl (Ron) Mills, Alan G. (Jennie) Frizzell, Donald R. Frizzell, James K. (Anne) Frizzell, Bryan L. (Michelle) Frizzell, 25 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie (Richard) Haner, Charles (Laura) Colegrove, Ruth Edwards, Herman Colegrove, Esther Anderson, Harold (Mary) Colegrove, Edwin (Sheila) Colegrove, Eugene (Leah) Colegrove; sisters-in-law, Virginia Kositzky, Sally (Barry) Page, Kathleen Germain, Joyce Frizzell, brother-in-law, Gerald (Linda) Frizzell, many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Mary was a kind, loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother who had a great sense of humor. She was always there to support her family. She had eight biological children but considered all the spouses and the children’s friends to be her children as well. Mary said she liked to cook but really did not like to cook. Her true joy in life was her grand and great grandchildren. She was honest and patient with all that knew her. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2 pm at the Vietnamese United Methodist Church, 212 Bellevue SE, Wyoming with Deputy Sheriff Bryan Frizzell officiating. Entombment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, May 14, from 6 - 8 pm at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 Division Ave, Wyoming. Due to gathering restrictions, there will be a limit on the number of people who may enter the building at a time. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
