Mary Kay Kelley, age 68, of Goodrich, MI was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Pat Nickels. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 joyful years, Scott; her son, Patrick (Melissa) Kelley, granddaughter, Siobhan; sisters, Jo Ellen Jolliffe, Patty (Ron) Dressander, Karen (Rick) Sadler, Beth Nickels (John) Brauneis, Penny (Brad) Banaszak, and Sherry (Dan) Bowen; sister-in-law, Nancy (Gary) Dowling; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She will be missed by the many who loved her. Mary Kay was born October 21, 1952 to Pat and Elmer Nickels and married Scott Kelley in June of 1973. Mary Kay was a devoted wife and mother who worked hard at being a proud hockey mom, supporting her son and raising him while building a career with Meijer. She retired after a 21-year career. In addition to spending time with her family, she was passionate about working out, taking long walks, and taking fitness classes. The family would like to thank Hurley Medical Center and their devoted staff for the love and caring that Mary Kay received. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave SW, Byron Center with Msgr. Bill Duncan presiding. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service at church. Dear Scott, Partick, Melissa, and Siobhan, Mary Kay and I spoke often of you all at the Health Club. She was so proud and loved you all so much. She shared stories and photos of you all. My heart breaks for you all. She will be so missed and was loved by all. RIP and may you all be comforted.

I would see Mary Kay walking around the track at Ascension-Genesys Heath Club just about every morning. Many times she’d be with her friend Cleva. I’m so sad to hear of her passing.

I am just a Neighbor of Jo Ellen's one of Mary Kay's 6 Sisters. I can see the depth of her pain and just know Mary Kay had to be a very special Sister.
