Mary “Jeanne” Hansen, age 82, of the Westside, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Jeanne cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved sharing sweets with the family and sharing her humor with those around her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale C. Hansen. Jeanne will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rick and Pat Hansen, Sara and Charles Walker; grandchildren, Jenny and Todd Maksimowski, Greg Hansen, Holly Hansen and fiance Dan Eggerding, Noah and Carly Walker, Joshua Walker, Emma Walker and fiance Evan DeWard; several great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Bixler; brother-in-law, Ed Bartosiewicz; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with her son-in-law, Pastor Charles Walker officiating. Burial Greenwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, March 20 from 2-4 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
