So sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I had the honor of working with Mary when I hired in as the HS secretary in 1985. She was a kind and wonderful person with the patience of a saint. She often helped me with my many questions. She knew the students' addresses and I could always call her to find out what bus a student rode! You could tell she loved her job and the children in the elementary. She helped make Vestaburg Elementary a loving and safe place and always looked out for the students' best interests. Dear precious Sanders family, our hearts are so saddened by the news of Mary's passing. She meant a lot to the Sterett clan and was not only a precious friend to my mother and dad for over 50 years but a dear, dear friend to us children as well. Mary's very presence brought joy and her words were always filled with encouragement. She took the time to know every child, grandchild, and great grandchild.
