Mary (Hallas) Brandow, age 67, of Grand Rapids, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 14, 2018, as she was surrounded by her children. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, George Hallas and Dorothy Zissler; her mother and step-father, Nancy and Richard Cavner. Surviving are her children, Jason and Stephanie Brandow, Robyn and Dwayne Porter, Jared Brandow and Marty Blessinger, Charlene and Darrell Cobb; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Hallas; father of the children, Jerry Brandow.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW with Rev. Steve Deur officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
