Mary Ellen (Appleford) Beem, aged 93 of Wyoming, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Mary was born October 6, 1923 in Mansfield, MA to Harry and Ella Appleford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, son, David, sister, Doris Mahon. Surviving are her son, Donald (Jayne) Beem; daughter, Diane (Douglas) Wright; grandchildren, Ryan (Tiffany) Kimmel, Katie (Eric) DeWinter, Nicholas Wright, Kimberlee Wright, Matthew Beem, and special daughter, Mary Wilcox, special grandchildren, Michael Wilcox, Marc Wilcox Abbie Kimmel; many nieces and nephews; close friends, Joan Boyd, Ginny Muller and the Strong family (Denise, Karen, Dennis), and her cat, Princess.  Mary was a wonderful artist, especially gifted at drawing, painting and sewing.  She also enjoyed bowling. She was a charter member of Wesley Park United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held 11am Monday, May 15, (1150 32^nd St SW, Wyoming), with Rev. Ted Bailey and Rev. Dean Prentiss officiating. Interment Kent Memorial Gardens. The family will meet relatives and friends Sunday 4-7pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crash’s Landing Cat Rescue Center.
