Mary Alice Decker, age 90, of Hudsonville, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Walter Decker, Sr.; parents, John and Alice Vander Vennen; precious brother, Henry Vander Vennen. Mary was a loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma who cherished her family. Her faith and desire to serve her Lord was evident to all who  knew her. She was blessed with the gift of creativity and cooking with her beautiful creations of paintings and sewing. Mary blessed her family and friends with many delicious meals. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nancy and Henry Vander Wey, Walt Jr. and Debbie Decker; grandchildren, Jason and Heather Vander Wey, Amanda and Nick Boorman, Stephanie and Brandon Nagelkirk, Tara and Kyle Bolhuis, Julie Vander Wey, David and Courtney Decker, Tory Decker; 15 great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Lorna Vander Vennen; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2:00 pm at Cornerstone United Reformed Church, 6442 36th Ave., Hudsonville, with Rev. Philip Vos officiating.  A private graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Institute for Reformed Biblical Counseling.
