Mary Benson-Slosser

Mary (Keena) Benson-Slosser, age 94, of Luther, Michigan, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, and is now rejoicing in the loving arms of Jesus. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy Benson; son, Mark Benson; grandchildren, Jamie and Riley Benson; great-grandson, Roan Benson; siblings, Harold Keena, Fr. James Keena, Tom and Nadine Keena; brother-in-law, Paul Benson; sisters-in-law, Patsy Benson and Joann Furlette; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Helen Keena; her first husband, James “Brick” Benson; her second husband, Norm Slosser; brothers, Bill, Fred, and Ernie; sisters, Peggy, Kathleen, and JoAnn. She was a proud active member of the Lions Club for over 20 years, had a love for baking, and playing cards. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Fr. Chris Rouech presiding. The burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Lions Club of Luther, MI, to St. Ignatius Parish of Luther, MI, or to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
