Mary Ann Vander Kamp, age 93, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, June 30, 2017.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Edward Vander Kamp Jr. She is survived by her children, Tom (Bonnie) Vander Kamp, Sue (Dave) Langin, Phil (Elizabeth) Vander Kamp; grandchildren, Nate (Kaleigh) Vander Kamp, Nick (Emily) Vander Kamp, Molly (Norbert) Gonzalez, Maggie Coveart, Tressa Vander Kamp, and Mary Vander Kamp; great grandchildren, Avery Quinn, Hannah, and Nolan Vander Kamp, and Connor, Cory, and Marleigh Gonzalez; sister, Donna Sytsma; brother, Cornell “Bud” Vander Weide. Mary loved golf and puzzles, was an avid reader, loved to socialize with friends, and had a laugh that could light up a room. Mary and Ed wintered in Florida for many years, where they volunteered at PGA tournaments and danced the nights away. Funeral services for Mary will be held on Thursday, July 6, at 12:30 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, with Chaplain Steve Faulk officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-12:30 prior to the service.
