Mary Ann Haaksma

Mary Ann Haaksma, age 86, of Byron Center, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John; infant son, Robert; and daughter, Lisa Shackleton. Mary Ann will be lovingly remembered by her children, Loraine and Tony Borzi, Jon and Brenda Haaksma, Kristine Haaksma, Amy Haaksma; grandchildren, Danielle and David Teunis, Mikayla Borzi, Andrew Borzi, Abigail and Mitch Brummel, Anna and Ryan Bush, Jacob and Emily Haaksma, Tyler Haaksma, Cody and Jeannie Walsh, LJ Francisco, Gracie Francisco; one great-grandson, Oliver Teunis; sister, Jan Botting; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim Leep, Reynold Haaksma, Itwin and Mary Haaksma, Andy Haaksma, Ted and Lena Haaksma, Freda Haaksma, Ben and Sue Haaksma, Betty and Jerry Ferman, Alice Haaksma, and Rose Haaksma; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at First Byron Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center with Pastor Jordan Nickell officiating. Burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10-10:45 am at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Byron Center Christian School or South Christian High School.
