Mary Ann (Norton) Bucek, born August 2, 1930 in Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, April 13, 2016. In her earlier years, Mary Ann was an avid gardener, who took immense pride in a large, diverse garden, which she tended for many years from spring through fall. She sailed to Europe on the legendary ships, QE2 and the Queen Mary with close friends in the 1950’s and took many other trips as well. By her nieces and nephews growing up, Mary Ann was thought of as the “fun aunt” and will be remembered for the many good times traveling to the Grand Canyon and visiting for important family times. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Bucek; her sister, Barbara Wojtulewicz; her brother, David Norton; and her parents, Frank and Hazel. Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Charles Norton; and her nieces and nephews, Cathy, Ann, Julie, MaryEllen, Patrick, Robert, John and Tom. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place in the Saint Ambrose Chapel at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, 301 Sheldon Blvd. SE on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10am.
