Marvin Vries

DE VRIES- Marvin James De Vries, age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Marv will be deeply missed by his wife of 64 years, Melita. He is survived by his children, Rick De Vries, Luanne (Gary) Pease, Kristi (Mark) Segard, Todd (Marilyn) De Vries, Jim (Sherri) De Vries; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Betty De Vries; sister-in-law Betty De Vries; brother James (Lucille) De Vries. He was preceded in death by his daughter Marijo; brother John. Marv had a quick wit and was always willing to help those in need. Marv was a partner of Eckhoff and De Vries Painting and Wallcovering Company until his retirement. A private burial has taken place at Washington Park Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Westend Christian Reformed Church, 1015 Westend Ave. NW. His family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Side Christian School.
